From Haining ILLIG offers service on site and provides technical training for Chinese customers to make them familiar with the thermoforming technology.

Agreement for Cooperation
The German company ILLIG signed with the Chinese local government ‘Administrative Committee of Zhejiang Haining Economic Development Zone’a contract for setting up a Customer Solution Center with a showroom for thermoforming machines and thermoforming molds. The intent of the Zhejiang Haining Economic Development Zone is to establish companies of the plastic processing and supplying industry. The ILLIG China branch office is a 100% ILLIG subsidiary. The new Haining site in the Zhejiang province in the Yangtze delta is located ideally when it comes to logistics between the major cities of Hangzhou and Shanghai. The new base will centrally coordinate the service for ILLIG machines in China from Haining and the staff there will also be in charge of customer care on site. The current expansion of the location establishes the lasting, stable market position of ILLIG machines during the last years in the growing Chinese market and in Southeast Asia.
ILLIG is the First Founding Member of the China Thermoforming Association (CTFA)
ILLIG is one of the 13 founding members of the CTFA and has been a member since October 26th, 2017. The aim of the CTFA with its currently 150 member companies is the development of the thermoforming industry in China. The Chinese and international founding members of the machine and tool making sector in thermoforming promote this development. Shortly after the foundation of the association ILLIG supported the joint project in China by providing a basic technical training in thermoforming for several days.
The standard reference in thermoforming by ILLIG
The profound technical know-how of the highly qualified ILLIG staff together with the reference book „Thermoforming - A Practical Guide“, edited by ILLIG, are the basis for the technical training. The standard reference in this sector was published in the third edition and is currently being translated into several languages, among others, also into Chinese again. Fundamentals and thermoforming methods are imparted in a comprehensive way. It is a valuable reference book for students, engineers and technicians. Besides information on thermoplastics, all thermoforming process steps, the most important machines and basics on tool and mold making are described in detail and substantiated by practical examples.
